Silicone surface additives for solvent-based coating systems to slightly reduce surface tension and increase surface smoothness. Thermally stable up to 250 ℃. Good leveling and defoaming properties, effectively preventing shrinkage and orange peel phenomena.

Features and Benefits

HY-323 can slightly reduce the surface tension of the coating system, and is a silicone leveling agent with defoaming effect. Its defoaming or foam inhibition effect depends on the polarity of the coating system. It has very good thermal stability and does not affect the interlayer adhesion of the coating even at 250°C. In matte coatings, HY-323 has a directional effect on matte powder, while in high solid polyurethane and acid cured unsaturated polyester coatings, HY-323 provides excellent directional effect on matte powder without causing any increase in gloss.In the curtains coating system, HY-323 also provides stability for the curtain, while in metal flash coatings, HY-323 helps to orient the extinction powder and aluminum powder

HY-323 is particularly recommended for use in solventborne systems.

Recommended dosage 0.01-0.4 % of additives (supplied form) is based on the total formulation. The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the excellent dosage needs to be determined by a series of tests.

Suggested dosage and usage:

It can be added as the original or pre-diluent, and pre-dilution with the recommended solvent simplifies addition and mixing.

Dosage: 0.2-2% based on total recipe

Precautions:

This leveling aid is widely used, but the amount of addition and whether it is stable should be determined by experiments before use. This additive is recommended for use in all water-based coatings and inks.

Storage Packaging:

Packaging: This product is packaged in original 25/200KG barrels (can be split);

Storage: Store in a cool and sheltered place, sealed and stored;

Transportation: This product should be well sealed during transportation to prevent moisture, strong alkalis, acids, and rainwater from entering.
