Silicone surface additive HY-378

Overview:

Solvent-free silicone surface additives for aqueous, solvent-borne and solvent-free systems that increase surface slip and significantly reduce surface tension at low dosage levels and have low foam stability.

Features and benefits

The additive significantly increases surface slip and thus scratch resistance. HY-378 drastically reduces surface tension, resulting in excellent substrate wetting properties and good anti-cratering effect, while also preventing the "frame" effect. In matte systems, the additive can enhance the directional arrangement of matting agents. HY-378 has a good effect even at low addition levels and has low foam stability. The additive exhibits broad compatibility in aqueous, solvent-based and solvent-free systems, is easy to recoat, and does not cause oil spots.

Recommended dosage: 0.01-0.3 % Additive (supply form) Based on the total formulation, can be increased to 0.5% in special cases. 

Adhesives

Features and benefits

The additives drastically reduce the surface tension and thus have good substrate wetting. HY-378 also has a good effect at low addition levels and has low foam stability. The additive has no negative effect on adhesion and does not migrate.

Recommended for: HY-378 can be used with all common reactive adhesives such as polyurethane, epoxy or acrylic adhesives.

    Recommended Dosage: 0.01-0.3% additive (supplied form) Based on total formulation, can be increased to 0.5% in special cases.

Storage & Transport: When the temperature is below 5 °C, turbidity and delamination may occur, please heat to 20 °C and mix well before use. Store tightly sealed at room temperature and have an expiration date of 24 months. 25KG plastic drum.
