Non-ionic organic surfactant HY-500

Overview:

HY-500 is a non-ionic surfactant used in the formulation of water-based substrate wetting agents, especially for radiation curing systems, and has a good effect on the wetting of various substrates and pigments.

Physical index:

Appearance: slightly yellow liquid

Active substance content: ≥98%

Viscosity: 25℃ about 50mPa s

Chemical properties:

 1. Used in water-based formulations, unstable foam, and can be widely used in varnish and pigment formulations.

 2. Improve the wetting of a variety of substrates and pigments.

 3. Good recoating reprintability.

 4. Additional promoting flow action wetting agent 500 no silicone no solvent.

 5. Effective reduction of dynamic surface tension.

Application examples:

Automotive OEM paints, industrial and anti-corrosive coatings, electrophoretic paints, wood and furniture coatings, inkjet inks   Architectural coatings, flexo and gravure inks.   

Pre-primers, primers and topcoats for leather based on polyurethane, acrylic resins, nitro and casein systems.

 usage method:

1. Pre-diluted or added directly to the paint in the form of supply.

2. When used in the pigment formulation, it is recommended to add it in the grinding stage.

3. It can be added in the paint mixing stage or even in the varnish system

Recommended amount to add:

Total formulation: 0.1-1.0%

Packing and storage requirements:

25kg plastic bucket, 200kg plastic bucket. Sealed storage, with a storage period of 12 months at room temperature.
