Silicone elastomer HY-9040

Overview:

This product is a mixture of vinyl dimethicone/polydimethylsiloxane ethoxyglucoside crosspolymer and polydimethylsiloxane. It has a transparent gel-like appearance and has the skin feel and wrinkle-concealing function of an elastomer gel. It is also particularly suitable for watery cream formulations because of the self-emulsifying function brought about by the glucose modification, and has good formulation stability.

Features:

1. The raw materials of emulsifier are green and natural.

2. Self-emulsifying function is strong, and it can be cold mixed.

3. It has thickening effect in water/oil and water/silicone oil systems.

1. Good water-retaining performance, especially suitable for water cream.

3. The hand feels delicate and smooth, and the powder texture is strong.

Technical indicators:

Appearance: colorless transparent colloid

Nonvolatile content (%,w/w): 15 ~ 20.

Viscosity (cP, S94, 2.5RPM, 25℃): 100,000 ~ 300,000.

Cyclotetrapolysiloxane (D1) content: < 1%

Application field:

Skin care and moisturizing products, water-retaining products.

Usage:

1、When used alone, it is recommended to disperse evenly with all kinds of fats and oils, then the water phase must be added slowly in batches, and stirred and sheared at high speed to disperse.

2、When compounding, add it into the oil pot after dispersing with compatible fats and oils to participate in emulsification, or add it into the mixing directly at the late stage of emulsification.

3、When heating operation, it should be carried out in a closed container, and the heating time should not be too long to avoid the volatilization of cyclopentadimethylsiloxane.

4、 It is recommended that the operation temperature should not exceed 60℃ to avoid the volatilization of cyclopentadimethylsiloxane.

Recommended dosage:

Suggested additive level of this product 1-20% (based on total formulation).

Packaging specifications:

This product is packed in 20Kg plastic drums and 200Kg iron drums.

Storage and transportation:

This product is non-dangerous. During storage and transportation, attention should be paid to moisture-proofing, preventing acid and alkaline impurities from mixing. The container should be strictly closed after each use.
